The original photograph I took has been digitally modified to reflect the fluidity of aspects of Havana-life. The crumbling buildings, which under normal circumstances should be solid and protective are, in reality, porous and in danger of collapse. Time is of a fluid character, the past and the present fold into each other as one walks the streets there. I left the people in the photograph intact - they navigate life and their circumstances with routine and integrity .
